Our tickets are booked! On August 1st, 2018, we will be boarding a plane to begin a new chapter in our lives. Currently, we are visiting family in Vancouver area and will be sharing at the churches we have grown up in along with a few others we have been connected to. The kids are happy to see their grandparents, cousins and relatives. We hope we can fit in some much needed rest and recreation as well.
In the last three weeks, we had our farewell at Ottawa Chinese Alliance Church – our home church for almost the last 16 years; shared our journey at three different churches; had two garage sales; and almost emptied the house of all our furniture and belongings. We wrap up our life in Suburban Ottawa with mixed feelings of sadness and anticipation. Ottawa has been home to us for almost sixteen years.
As we look forward to our new life in Cambodia, Hebrews 11: 8-10 comes to mind:
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
By faith, we are obeying the call to go to the Asian Spice region even though we do not know what we may encounter. By faith, we are leaving our home in Ottawa to make a new home in Cambodia. We may not be living in tents like Isaac or Jacob but we will be living in a different and unfamiliar setting. We are looking forward to the ministry with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. It still amazes us to look back over that last year to see how God has orchestrated everything to bring us through this journey!

- Praise God that one of our cars has been sold
- Pray for a good time of visiting family and friends
- Pray for all the logistics still to be completed
- Pray for good rest & health so that we don’t get sick during and after this West Coast visit
- Pray for the all the transitions and goodbyes to come
